How many RERA projects are registered in India?
As of 22 Oct 2026, the MoHUA RERA tracker lists 1,72,544 real-estate projects registered under RERA across 29 states and union territories, including 85,104 residential projects with 1,27,13,137 units in the states that report a residential split. Each state's RERA authority reports its own figures, most of them weekly.
Which state has the most RERA projects?
Maharashtra, with 56,122 registered projects — 33% of India's total as of 22 Oct 2026. It is followed by Tamil Nadu (36,963), Gujarat (17,246), Telangana (11,115) and Karnataka (8,919).
How many RERA complaints have been filed in India?
2,05,683 complaints had been filed with RERA authorities in the 23 states and UTs that report complaint figures, as of 22 Oct 2026. Uttar Pradesh has the most (62,244), followed by Maharashtra (38,038).
